Charity Padel Tournament in Support of Children with Dyslexia Held in Vilnius
A charity sports event — the padel tournament Perskaityk skraidančius kamuoliukus — recently took place in Vilnius, bringing together athletes, partners, and community members to support children with reading difficulties.
The initiative was proudly supported by Fenix Charity Fund, which actively promotes inclusive education and equal opportunities for children.
Now in its second year, the tournament once again demonstrated how sports can become a powerful force for social good. Thanks to the generosity of participants and sponsors, funds were successfully raised to purchase specialized reading scanner pens for children with dyslexia — tools that transform printed text into audio, helping students better understand learning materials and gain confidence in their studies.
A special guest of the event was the Director of the Fund, Agata Bay, who attended the tournament personally and took an active part in the activities. She met with participants, supported the fundraising efforts, and highlighted the importance of creating accessible educational environments for every child.
Technology That Makes Learning More Accessible
Dyslexia is a learning difference that affects reading and writing skills, often requiring children to spend more time recognizing words and understanding texts. With the right tools and support, however, they can learn just as successfully as their peers.
The reading scanner pens funded through the tournament provide real, practical help — allowing children.
The Project Continues
Although the tournament has already taken place, the charitable initiative remains open for further support. Anyone who wishes can still contribute to helping more children receive these essential learning tools.
Events like this show how combining sports, compassion, and modern technology can create meaningful change and build a more inclusive future for young learners.
