September marks the beginning of a new chapter for children - a new school year filled with new knowledge, friendships, experiences, and opportunities to grow.

For many families, preparing for school is an exciting tradition: choosing a new backpack, filling a pencil case, buying notebooks and other essentials for the classroom. However, not every child has the same opportunity to start the school year with everything they need.

Ahead of the new school year, WALLETTO employees in Riga took the initiative to support children from the VITA children’s home. With the support of Fenix Charity Foundation, they helped the children prepare for September 1 and made the start of the new school year a little brighter.

A Personal Approach to Giving

This initiative was built around personal involvement.

WALLETTO employees had the opportunity to choose a child they wanted to support and personally prepare a set of school essentials for them. New backpacks were filled with pencil cases, stationery, and other useful items for the school year, along with small surprises chosen to bring a little extra joy.

Each backpack was prepared with a particular child in mind. This personal approach turned practical assistance into something warmer - a reminder that someone had taken the time to think about them and their new beginning.

For Fenix Charity Foundation, this is an important part of what meaningful support can look like. Sometimes, even relatively simple actions can have a positive impact when they respond to a real need and are carried out with genuine care.
